Clinical Consultation
Gain clarity and confidence:
Clinical consultation with me offers a chance for you to slow cases down, have a fresh set of eyes, and to sharpen your clinical clarity. Our time will focus on whatever you are needing, but most people either spend their time by talking through a specific case in-depth, or on expanding clinical knowledge and filling in any gaps in one of my expertise areas. I absolutely love working with therapists to untangle a nuanced clinical picture with care, humility and depth.
Even the best therapists encounter cases that feel sticky: diagnoses that sort of fit…but not quite. Progress stalls despite you putting in solid work. A client’s nervous system seeming to respond to something that is more than meets the eye.
So many women are diagnosed, treated, or conceptualized through incomplete or mismatched frameworks, and I see this can actually causing harm for clients over the long-haul, despite clinicians putting in their best work and intentions.
Why I Offer Consultation:
Overlaps that can look deceptively similar on the surface:
Anxiety vs. OCD
Anxiety vs. trauma responses vs. ADHD compensations
Hormonal changes (perinatal, menopause/perimenopause) vs. anxiety
Burnout and adult ADHD presentations in women
Perfectionistic anxiety vs. OCD
OCD and intrusive thoughts that may make your clinical alarm bells shriek
I offer consultation because more accurate conceptualization leads to better care for clients. I deeply believe that our clients deserve to have access to all the information they need to feel better.
Areas of Expertise:
I most often consult on cases involving:
Women across the lifespan
Neuroscience-informed treatment
Perinatal and postpartum mental health
Anxiety disorders
Obsessive Compulsive Disorder & Treatment (using ERP, ACT, I-CBT)
Trauma and complex trauma
Narcissistic abuse and recovery
Differential diagnoses
Helping to identify adult ADHD in women that has been overlooked
Case conceptualization and gathering client context that makes a case make more sense
How I Approach Consultation:
My consultation style is collaborative, reflective, and clinically grounded. This is not supervision and not evaluation—it’s a thinking space.
Together we may:
Clarify differential diagnoses and overlapping symptom profiles
Explore how trauma, anxiety, OCD, ADHD and relational trauma/abuse intersect
Examine how gendered socialization and reproductive transition impact presentation
Identify blind spots created by nuance that our diagnostic manual fails to articulate
Refine treatment direction when progress feels unclear or has stalled
I bring a particular attunement to how nervous systems adapt to chronic stress, relational harm, disordered thinking, threat interpretation and internalized responsibility, and how those adaptions can be misread in clinical settings.
