Session Frequency

I currently only see clients on a weekly basis.

In the past, I have seen clients that start at/do most of their therapy on a biweekly basis don’t tend to make progress as quickly and often disengage from therapy before meeting their goals. If you feel that weekly therapy would not fit for you or cannot make that financial commitment, I would love to connect you with a provider that can accommodate your financial/time situation.

Insurance

Maggie Holland Counseling, PLLC is considered an Out of Network provider for all insurance plans. That means that I do not directly accept any insurance plans, and I do not interact with insurance companies n behalf of my clients in almost any capacity. However, depending on your current health insurance provider you may be eligible for out-of-network benefits, which I do assist my clients with on a limited basis (outlined below).

If you are interested in exploring your out-of-network insurance benefits to help with therapy, I always suggest clients call their insurance company first to get acquainted with all the information you need to make a fully informed decision. Here are some questions to start the conversation when talking to your insurance company:

  • Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services delivered via telehealth?

  • Do I have deductible? Have I met my deductible yet, or do I still have a ways to go until my deductible is met? Do mental health services contribute toward my deductible? Are any portion of mental health services covered after my deductible is met?

  • Do I require a pre-authorization for my out of network benefits?

  • What is the reimbursement I will receive for a CPT code of 90834 or 90837?

    • These are the most commonly used codes in my practice, and some insurances will cover one but not the other.

  • How many sessions per year are covered on my plan?

  • Where do I send what is called a “superbill” to get reimbursed for therapy?

How I help clients with the process: upon request, I can provide a “superbill” at the end of every month. You can submit this “superbill” to your insurance provider for your out-of-network benefits. I do not do this submitting process for clients, nor do I typically interact with clients’ insurance in any manner. Many of my clients do submit superbills for insurance reimbursement and generally say that process is fairly straightforward.
